I guess there's a couple of reasons why they don't sell them all at lower pricing - it's the old "if we halved the price would we sell twice as many" question. To be quite honest Audi recommend the fixed service if you drive hard, i.e. Oil specs must meet VW 507.00 for the 2.7TDI. You can have the dealer revert to fixed servicing if you like, as the vehicle hasn't reached its first 10k yet. Interestingly this car has been used as a company car at Bently Crewe for 4 months only - surely a "VW-Audi" "arrangement" to get nearly new cars onto forecourt at greatly reduced prices (in this case nearly £10K off new price after fairly hard negotiation and cash offer) - can't conplain as it seems OK value to me at the price sold - why not be more honest about pricing structure?
It has 4000 on the clock - I'm pretty amazed this is good for any engine, longlife oil or otherwise, to do 18000+ from new on factory oil - any thoughts? I'm tempted to sneak in interim oil and filter at every 10000 - where to get hold of correct spec diesel engine oil and Audi oil filter?Īlso seem to be trapped in Audi dealership for servicing to maintain warranty thru to 2009- any thoughts on risk / benefits of independent servicing?
